Frequently asked questions
What are the questions you hear most often from new and returning clients about your swim lessons?
The most common questions revolve around holding spots and registering early. I don't hold spots, as my schedule fills up very quickly. Once I am fully booked, I cannot take on any more swimmers. To secure a spot, contact me to receive an Interest & Acknowledgement Form. Please be sure to check my Facebook page and this website for updates on booking availability. I typically start booking for lessons in April/May. Contact [makewaveswithellie@gmail.com] to request an interest form and to let me know if you have any further questions.
What important things do families need to know or prepare for before their first swim lesson with Ellie?
Before the first swim lesson, a WAVEform: Waiver & Program Policies Agreement must be read, understood, agreed to, and signed by a parent or guardian. All important information and registration details, including specific pricing and lesson particulars, will be sent directly to those who express interest and wish to learn more about my program. This ensures you have all the necessary details to prepare for a successful start.
What makes MAKE WAVES with Ellie unique, or why do your clients love taking lessons with you?
At MAKE WAVES, swim instruction is intentionally personal. Every private lesson is tailored to the swimmer, allowing instruction to move at the right pace and focus on what each swimmer truly needs to grow. My programs prioritize confidence, safety, skill development, and a genuine love of the water, drawing on Lifesaving Society swim frameworks and professional experience to guide instruction. Rather than pursuing badges or certifications, swimmers build a strong, lasting foundation through individualized instruction in a supportive environment, helping them reach their full swimming potential.
What are some common concerns or worries that parents or swimmers have before starting swim lessons, and how do you usually address them?
It's completely normal for parents or students to have concerns before starting swim lessons, especially when it comes to water safety or new environments. Any and all concerns will be professionally addressed with care and understanding. Please feel free to email [makewaveswithellie@gmail.com] with your specific questions or worries, and I will be happy to discuss them with you personally to ensure you feel comfortable and confident before beginning lessons.
